Fees

The range of special facilities at the school determines the level of fees and allows the school to offer education to a wide variety of pupils with special needs.

Fees are charged to the Referring Authority and are payable at the beginning of each term. The amount is normally all inclusive and the single payment of this umbrella fee covers the cost of:

• Tuition as specified by the school curriculum
• Access to certain specialist consultants
• Individualisation of programmes as a result of the work of the multi-disciplinary team
• Leisure activities, expeditions and trips
• Accommodation, including specialist diets
• Everyday school and specialist clothing and footwear, including sports kit
• Weekends at home arranged by the school
• Other extra home visits can be arranged but the cost may be charged to the Referring Authority

Menu of Additional Provision

The following are available at an additional cost:

• One to one member of the Care Staff and/or a Learning Support Assistant in the classroom
• Play Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Psychotherapy / Psychiatric Support
• Additional night supervision
• Additional medical needs

52 Week Placement

Facilities are provided for 52 week placements so that, in special circumstances, a pupil can be placed in school for up to fifty two weeks of the year. Every effort is made to provide a different yet well structured routine for each placement. The all inclusive fee for these pupils covers the cost of haircuts, clothing, birthday and Christmas spending money. Such placements at the school are usually planned well in advance. Information on current fees can be obtained upon application.
